Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of products and services provided by Symvek Technologies, operating as Symvek, located in BC, Canada.

By using any Symvek product, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the products. We have tried to write these in plain language, not dense legalese.

Symvek products are proprietary software distributed through official channels (Chrome Web Store, Firefox Add-ons). The free tier is provided at no cost but remains proprietary.

Premium features and add-ons are licensed separately. Their use is governed by these Terms of Service and any additional terms presented at the time of purchase.

You may use Symvek products for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:

• Use the products to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from any Symvek products
• Use automated means to abuse, overload, or interfere with our services
• Redistribute premium features or share license keys with unauthorized users
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others when using our services

Free tiers do not require an account or registration. Premium products require a one-time purchase through a third-party payment processor. We receive your email address and a transaction record. We do not receive or store payment card details. Your license key validates offline without contacting our servers.

The Symvek name, logo, and branding are trademarks of Symvek Technologies All code, premium features, and product designs are the property of Symvek Technologies

Your content remains yours. We do not claim ownership over any data you create or provide through our products. Since we do not store your data, this point is largely academic, but we want it stated clearly.

We aim to keep our services running reliably, but we do not guarantee 100% uptime. Maintenance, updates, and unforeseen events may cause temporary interruptions. Since Shield runs primarily on-device, it will continue to function offline for most features.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any product or feature with reasonable notice. If we discontinue a paid product, we will provide a prorated refund for any unused subscription period.

Our products are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that our products will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. No software is perfect, and we are transparent about that.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Symvek Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use of or inability to use our products
• Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any third-party conduct related to our products
• Any other matter relating to our products

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of our products shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 CAD, whichever is greater.

You may stop using our products at any time. For premium subscriptions, cancel through your account settings or by contacting us.

We may suspend or terminate your access to premium features if you violate these terms, after providing notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure the violation where possible.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, Canada. Before pursuing formal legal action, we encourage you to contact us directly so we can try to resolve the issue.
