The short version
We do not collect browsing data, usage data, or behavioral analytics. Our products run on your device, not our servers. We have no analytics, no trackers, and no ad networks. If you purchase a premium product, we receive your email and a transaction record from our payment processor. That is it. The rest of this page explains the details.
Who we are
This policy covers all products and services operated by Symvek Technologies, operating as Symvek, located in BC, Canada.
Our current product is Symvek Shield, a privacy browser extension.
What we collect
Almost nothing.
We do not collect browsing data, usage data, telemetry, or behavioral analytics from any of our products. We do not buy, sell, or share user data.
The one exception: premium payments
If you purchase a premium product, payment is processed by a third-party payment processor. We receive your email address and a transaction record. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
Your license key is cryptographically signed and validates offline. After the initial purchase, the extension never contacts our servers to verify your subscription. We chose this design specifically so that premium users get the same zero-phone-home privacy as free users.
Symvek Shield
Shield is a browser extension for Chrome and Firefox. It runs entirely in your browser. No data about your browsing history, blocked trackers, privacy scores, or any other activity ever leaves your device.
- All processing happens locally in the browser extension
- No server communication for tracking or analytics
- Filter list updates may fetch from our CDN, but no user data is sent
- Premium features run client-side; license validation sends only the license key
This website
The Symvek website (symvek.com) does not use analytics, tracking pixels, ad networks, or third-party scripts that collect user data.
We do not set cookies. If we ever need to use essential cookies (for example, for authentication on a future account dashboard), we will update this policy and clearly disclose them. We will never use cookies for advertising or tracking.
Verifiable by design
Shield runs entirely in your browser. You do not have to take our word for any privacy claim on this page. The extension makes no server calls for tracking or analytics. You can verify this with any network monitoring tool.
Third-party services
We minimize third-party dependencies. Where we do use external services, here is what to know:
- Payment processing: If you purchase a premium product, payment is handled by a third-party processor. We do not store your payment card details. The processor's privacy policy applies to payment data.
Children's privacy
Our products are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Applicable law
Symvek Technologies is incorporated in British Columbia, Canada. This policy is governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
We do not collect browsing or behavioral data. For premium users, we hold an email address and transaction record from our payment processor. You may request deletion of this data at any time by contacting privacy@symvek.com.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page with a new "last updated" date. If a change materially affects your privacy (for example, if we begin collecting data we previously did not), we will provide prominent notice on our website before the change takes effect.
