The problem we exist to solve
The surveillance industry is the most successful infrastructure project of the 21st century. An entire economy was built on a single insight: if you harvest enough data from enough people, you can model and predict human behaviour at scale. They call it understanding. We call it extraction.
That infrastructure now reaches into every layer of daily life. Your browser tracks you. Your network leaks data. Your devices phone home. Your physical environment is increasingly instrumented with sensors, cameras, and hardware you did not choose and cannot audit.
Most privacy tools address one layer. We are building the counter-infrastructure that addresses all of them.
Our mission
Symvek builds counter-surveillance technology from the browser to the physical world. Our products protect privacy at every layer: browser extensions that block tracking, network tools that stop data exfiltration, hardware defences against physical surveillance, and AI systems that earn understanding through their own experience rather than harvesting it from humans.
Privacy tools fund the path. Defence technology is the destination. Embodied, ethical AI that learns from the world rather than extracting from people is the long-term vision.

Symvek is structured to stay aligned with its users. The company will never accept funding that requires compromising user privacy. Premium features fund development. Free tiers stay free. The business model is the privacy policy.
Symvek Technologies is a Canadian private corporation (CCPC) incorporated in British Columbia. All research and development happens in Canada under Canadian privacy law.

Local-first
Processing happens on your device whenever possible. Your data does not touch our servers.
Zero browsing data
We do not collect browsing data, usage data, or behavioral analytics. No telemetry, no ad networks.
Open and auditable
Our privacy claims are verifiable by design. We would rather you verify than trust.
Independence by design
Symvek is built to make decisions that align with users. Every technical and business decision is measured against one question: does this compromise the people we are supposed to protect? If the answer is yes, the answer is no.
